1. Initially locate the liquid leakage point
– Prioritize checking the shaft end seal ( screw pump mechanical seal/packing seal area)
– Check the connection parts such as inlet and outlet flanges, pump cover
– Observe whether there are damages such as sand holes and cracks on the pump body surface
2.Check the status of sealing components
– For mechanical seal: Check if the friction surfaces of rotating ring and stationary ring are worn, scratched or cracked; Inspect if O-rings and bellows are aged or deformed
– For packing seal: Check if the packing is worn or loose; Verify if the gland compression force is even
3. Check the sealing condition of connection parts
– Check if the gaskets of flanges and pump cover are aged or misplaced
– Check if the connecting bolts are loose and tighten them evenly if necessary
4.Check the fit status of screw pump rotor and stator
– Stop the pump and disassemble the pump body to check if the stator inner wall is swollen, aged or cracked
– Check if there are wear marks on the rotor surface; Measure whether the fit clearance between them exceeds the standard
5.Verify the assembly and installation accuracy
– Detect if the coaxiality deviation between pump shaft and motor shaft is excessive
– Check if the pump body is firmly fixed and if there is abnormal vibration during operation
6.Verify the operating condition parameters
-Confirm whether the actual working pressure exceeds the rated pressure of the pump
– Confirm whether the temperature and corrosiveness of the conveyed medium match the design requirements of the pump
7.Fault handling and retest
– Replace damaged components such as progressive cavity pump stators,rotors,coupling rods, driving shafts, drive shaft,plug-in Shaft, Universal Joint assembly,connecting cod,mechanical seals, gaskets,
– Readjust the assembly accuracy and tighten the connection parts
– Start the pump for trial operation and confirm whether the liquid leakage fault is eliminated
