1.Clear blockages in the suction pipeline and inspect and seal air leakage points
Disassemble the suction pipeline to remove accumulated impurities and sediments; inspect connection parts such as pipeline flanges and joints one by one, replace aging gaskets, weld and repair cracked pipelines or replace them directly, ensuring the pipeline is free of air leakage and blockage and restoring a smooth medium suction channel.
2.Replace worn stator and rotor to restore pump body sealing
Performance Disassemble the screw pump head, take out Progressive Cavity Pump the stator and rotor, and check the matching clearance between them. If the clearance exceeds the value specified in the equipment technical manual, replace the screw pump stator and rotor as a set; ensure tight fitting of components during installation to restore the internal sealing effect of the pump body and eliminate medium backflow.
3.Disassemble and clean the inlet filter screen and clean it regularly to prevent clogging
Unscrew the inlet filter fixing bolts, take out the filter assembly, rinse impurities in the filter pores with high-pressure water, or soak and clean with neutral detergent according to the pollution degree; air-dry and reset after cleaning. It is recommended to establish a regular cleaning system and inspect and clean every 7-15 days.
4.Adjust medium viscosity to the applicable range of the equipment and heat or dilute the medium if necessary
Refer to the progressive cavity pump technical parameter table to clarify the applicable medium viscosity range; if the viscosity is too high, moderately heat to reduce viscosity through a heating device or mix with special diluent in proportion; if the viscosity is too low, add thickener to adjust, ensuring the medium viscosity meets the pump operation requirements.
5.Check motor speed and repair or replace the speed control device to ensure stable speed
Use a tachometer to detect the actual operating speed of the motor and compare it with the rated speed of the equipment; if the speed is too low or fluctuating, check whether the power supply voltage is stable, troubleshoot faults of speed control devices such as speed regulators and frequency converters, repair damaged parts in time, and replace with the same model speed control device when it cannot be repaired to ensure constant motor speed.
6.Overhaul the universal joint assembly and replace worn parts to eliminate jamming faults
Disassemble the Progressive Cavity Pumps universal joint assembly, inspect the wear and deformation of components such as cross shafts and needle bearings, and replace damaged parts; remove impurities and oil stains inside the assembly and apply special lubricating grease; test the operation after reassembly to ensure smooth power transmission without jamming.
7.Fully open the outlet valve to avoid flow reduction caused by manual throttling
Fully open the outlet valve, remove unnecessary throttling devices, and reduce the outlet operating resistance of the pump; if flow adjustment is required, it is recommended to adjust the motor speed instead of throttling through the valve to ensure stable output flow of the pump body.
8.Troubleshoot the cause of air binding, open the exhaust valve to discharge air inside the pump and check the suction height
Immediately open the exhaust valve on the top of the pump body to discharge accumulated air inside, and fill the pump with sufficient medium at the same time; check whether the suction height of the pump exceeds the value specified by the equipment. If it exceeds, lower the installation height of the pump or raise the position of the medium storage tank to reduce the possibility of air entering the pump body.
